    This e-learning course is designed to give learners an awareness of general data protection regulations (GDPR), what personal information is, and the gathering of personal information.  Learners will gain knowledge and understanding the main principles of GDPR what it means to them and how their company as whole meets the principles.  Learners will gain an awareness of sharing information safely, breaches of information and information security.

    Child Criminal Exploitation

    On completion of this course, learners will understand CCE - County Lines and Trafficking, learners will learn about how child criminal exploitation happens, the techniques used by criminals to exploit children, and how to effectively support children but those who are at risk of Child Criminal Exploitation and those who have survived it. Students will be confident in supporting survivors of CCE,  and understand their roles, responsibilities and how to use local referral pathways effectively to support children.

    Gaming and Social Media Additction

    This e-learning course is designed to give learners an understanding regarding the rise of social media and gaming, with consideration to both positive and negative aspects of these.  Learners will gain an understanding of how social media and gaming has become a problem; understand what addiction is and the effects this can have on the teenage brain and the impact this can cause.  Learners will gain knowledge on identifying warning signs of addiction and how to implement strategies and guidelines to support young people.

    This e-learning course offers an introduction to child sexual exploitation (CSE), encompassing recognising what CSE is, and the different models of CSE. Learners will be able recognise situations that are exploitative, the risk factors and vulnerabilities in young people and the long-term impact this can have.  Learners will gain an understanding of how to support young people at risk of CSE and their responsibilities with regards to CSE.

    Internet Safety

    This e-learning course is designed to give learners an awareness of internet safety, technologies role in our lives, online risks for individuals, recognising online threats and signs that a child is at risk whilst online.  Learners will gain knowledge and understanding of safe internet usage, including UKSIC advice, reporting concerns and getting support, as well as supporting children online.

    Recording and Reporting Skills

    This e-learning course is designed to give learners an awareness of recording and reporting, why records are written and kept, the types of key records required when supporting children and young people.  Learners will gain knowledge and understanding of ethical recording, effective recording and reporting and recording with integrity.  Learners will gain knowledge of the differences between fact, opinion and judgement, frameworks for recording with young people in mind and managing records  in residential childcare.  Learners will be able to consider some key issues and elements to recording and reporting.

    Appraisal, Supervision and Feedback Skills

    This course has been designed for staff who supervise team member. The course explores how to conduct appropriate supervisions with supervisee's, provide some tools needed to give constructive feedback and manage different learning styles within a team.

    This course has been designed for staff who work with children and young people who ligature. This course is supplementary to Emergency First Aid Training and looks what ligatures are and potential risks within the home and how staff members are expected to respond when a ligature occurs.

    Part of our Duty of Care in this sector requires us to have clear procedures for safeguarding children. In this short course we will look at how we as staff are expected to respond to disclosures or allegations as part of our safeguarding duties. Training staff is an integral part of ensuring that these procedures are followed and understood.

    Safeguarding In Practice

    Safeguarding In Practice :This course offers a holistic approach to safeguarding, encompassing recognising abuse and neglect, online safety, prevention of Child Sexual Exploitation and Child Criminal Exploitation, self-harm, and suicide prevention, managing allegations, and an introduction to contextual safeguarding.     This is the first of a two part course that aims to develop our understanding of what ‘Trauma Informed Care’ means, and why it is so important when supporting children with difficult attachment and trauma experiences in education .
